## Stake production



During production, we take great care to ensure the quality of our stakes and posts. We therefore use an automatic log grading system, which allows us to select only those logs that meet our quality criteria and to classify them according to diameter.

This is followed by the drying stage. All our timber is dried in drying rooms in order to ensure the quality of our products. They help us to dramatically reduce drying times compared to air-drying, and also guarantee even drying. Drying the wood is a crucial step, as it removes any water from the wood, freeing up space for the impregnation solution.

## Wood impregnation in an autoclave


**We** [impregnate the whole post with salt](/wood-impregnation/). Our [DeepProtect process protects the foot of the stake](https://www.durafence.eu/enclosures/impregnation/), which is in constant contact with the earth and humidity, and gives this lower part of the post extra protection.
